Winton

After Longreach came Winton. We stayed a couple of nights at the Long Waterhole, just out of town.
A nice little town with some interesting spots.
One was Arno's Wall. He must have spent years constructing this. Everything you can think of has been stuck in the cement.

 

                                                                    

 

                                                                         

This is the Long Waterhole. Although the ground was hard to drive on being so dry and deep cracks from the drought, it was a lovely spot to stay with great water views.

Have two grandsons who are dinosaur mad I had to make an attempt of finding some dinosaur bones out in the wild. This is the best I could do.
