Kojonup WA Updated

Here are a collection of photos gathered from around the Kojonup area starting with this parrot called a Ringnecked Parrot or in WA it's called a 28, my understanding is that is what it sounds like when he sings. 28, 28, 28. This one was wandering around my van where I camped for the night. Took the photos through the window so I didn't frighten him away.

The next morning I went to the Info Centre and walked the entire Rose Maze. The story of this maze is told by 3 women, an Aboriginal woman, An English woman and an Italian woman. They all tell their story of their life on plaques scattered around the paths of the Rose Maze. Lots of different roses in the maze with some heavily perfumed.

From there I drove out to Myrtle Benn Sanctuary where I had lunch before taking an hour long walk through the native bush looking for wild flowers and orchids. Was lucky to see some I hadn't seen before. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get one photo of any of the birds who were twittering away in the tree tops. The bush must have been too dense as I could hear them but not see them, except for more of the Ring-necked Parrot. A group of them were chattering away in the tree above my van.
