Williams WA Updated

Having left the wheatbelt area from Kulin, I made my way south into lovely green rolling hills taking a lot of the back roads, enjoying the scenery, going around in circles, as I saw another signpost that looked interesting, making my way through Wickepin and on to Narrogin.
Looking for a free camp I found myself out at Cuballing which is a great spot for an overnighter. Not a lot there but plenty of room with rubbish bins and a dump point, it is situated between the roadhouse and the railway line. Obviously a disused railway line as none woke me from my slumber during the night.
Found this beautiful horse as I drove in to Cuballing, knew I had to stop for a photo. I noticed signs for an Equestrian Centre down one of the side roads, have to be a connection.

This beautiful horse has been made with horseshoes.

After having a look around Narrogin I spent the rest of the day driving down to Williams and wandering around till the weather got the better of me. The wind blew then the heavy rains came and it got cold causing me to get into winter clothes for the first time in many months.
I managed to get to the Williams Woolshed, an icon of the town, where I had lunch and waited out the weather. A real tourist attraction with a large café and many speciality shops including kitchenware, childrenswear, sheep skin and wool products and clothing. Plus a small info centre where you also paid for any purchases found in the other shops.
From there I went back down to the Rotary Park as the weather wasn't going to abate any time soon. After another hour decided to get myself into the caravan park for the night which was just as well as we had a very heavy wet night.
The next day dawned bright and sunny so I was able to get out with my camera, firstly finding these two Carnaby Black Cockatoos having a great old time in the local trees, these are an endangered bird so was really excited to get some photos.

This one happily eating his lunch

Along came a second one to fight over the pinecones

They made up and posed for the camera.

There is a lovely clear stream running through the bottom of Williams I managed to get some photos of.
