One of the most tourist conscious towns I've been to. Everything is here that we need. Showers, drinking water, dump point and most shops we would need including many very nice bakeries.
Each day a girl from one of the local bakeries comes out to the camp site in a munchies truck selling coffee, bread, pies, filled rolls, sandwiches etc.
Then in the evening a chinese couple come around with a trolley of beautiful fresh veges, must be from their own garden.
In town we can get showers from the local baths or at the CWA rooms for a donation. Very well appointed in the middle of town, they supply a small lounge with coffee facilities, 2 showers and 2 toilets.
I was able to get my Rosemary and Cedarwood mozzie cream here from the local Country Traders and this morning went to a Book Sale at one of the churches, coming back with a box full of goodies.
Our camp
A local identity.
Every street in town is named after a bird. This is Swan Street, obviously.
This is the Qantas place where it all started.
School of the Air Headquarters.
