On my way up the coast of Eyre Peninsula from Port Lincoln to Port Augusta I had a few overnight stops along the way. As I left Flat Rock which I will talk about later I came across the famous Igloos. I had been told about them before but had not realised I was right there until I was to drive past.
I sat in my van taking photos out the window of every aspect.
I had not realised the significance of the time I was doing this until on my radio the Last Post was playing, it was 11 am on the 11th November 2014.
I was able to sit there through the minutes silence and just contemplate what has been before us, it really was a special moment.
The sign halfway down explains the significance of the Igloos.
