Port Lincoln Part 1 4th

Arrived in Port Lincoln on Monday 3rd November, all booked in with Toyota for the van service the next day. Decided to drive around to familiarise myself with the town before I had to get early to Toyota and lose my way.
Very industrial town which sits on the side of a hill and surrounding a harbour, does make it hard to find ones way around, so I made for a landmark that I knew. Bunnings. Popped in and bought my favourite flyspray and asked for directions to Toyota as hadn't seen it once in in the last hour. A customer at the counter was able to give good directions and it turned out I had been missing the town centre with each try. Taking the wrong turn at a roundabout doesn't help.
In his instructions he mentioned that Maccas was only 2 doors away from Toyota. How lucky was I, Maccas is always my second landmark to look for, just look for the yellow arches.
So off I went and this time found them first go, so off to the info centre to pay for a permit to park at the maritime museum over night. $10 and you get nothing except a spot in the parking bays but that is much better than parking way out in the country and being late for the booked in service.
Thoroughly enjoyed my night there with all the sea birds for company. A few boats were launched to go fishing and a few familys came down for an evening walk, but otherwise a quite night.
Arrived at Toyota in plenty of time the next morning, so decided to have hot cakes at Maccas for breakfast, then went for a walk to some nearby shops I had seen earlier. KMart, Millers, Telstra Shop. Spent a good hour or more wandering the shops and bought nothing. Then back to Maccas for a coffee which worked out to be good timing, I received a txt to say van was ready.
As there was plenty of time left in the day, I decided to get groceries and fuel a day early, repacked the cupboards with the new food and headed north out of town to the nearest roadside stop for an overnight stop.
Port Lincoln is quite an industrial town with silos and ship equipment right on the town front. Set in a pretty bay it has a well set out esplanade and shops of every description.
